Aldershot Town Football Club is thrilled to announce the permanent signing of defender Rollin Menayese. The 28-year-old joins the club after a successful stint with Macclesfield, where he played a crucial role in their promotion-winning campaign. Menayese, who was born in the Democratic Republic of Congo, started his career in Cardiff City's Academy before moving to Weston-Super-Mare in 2016. He impressed at the Seagulls, which put him on the radar of Bristol Rovers, who signed him in June 2017. In three years at the Gas, he played 16 games and gained experience on loan with Swindon Town and Aldershot Town. His next move was up north to Mansfield, where he played 10 games for the Stags and scored his first senior goal against Exeter City. Menayese also gained experience on loan with Grimsby Town, playing all but one game for the Shrimpers in the second half of the 2021/21 season. Walsall was the next club for the 6'3 defender, and he played 37 games for the Saddlers, scoring once. He returned to Aldershot Town in August 2024, having previously spent time there on loan. After a short spell with the Shots, Menayese joined Macclesfield in the second half of their promotion-winning season, playing 14 games from January until the end of April. Last season, he played 35 games for the Silkmen, including the giant-killing of FA Cup holders Crystal Palace in the 3rd Round of the competition. Menayese has appeared already for the Tigers as a Trialist, and scored the fourth goal against Garforth Town on Saturday.
