Aldershot Town held their visitors to a 1‑1 draw at Aggborough after a chaotic match that saw the Harriers reduced to nine men. Lewis Walker gave the Harriers a 1‑0 lead with a first‑half header in the 28th minute, and the visitors were on the brink of a comeback when Jack Wint saved a penalty from Marcus Wyllie. However, a red card for Jacob Borgnis and a second yellow for Hakeem Sandah left the visitors with nine men.
The Harriers were in control for most of the game, but the visitors’ numerical advantage proved insufficient. With the score level, Tristan Abrahams slipped into the area unmarked and struck a late goal three minutes from time to secure the point for the visitors.
"We should have won it, we know that, and there’s no hiding place in that," said Harriers manager Paul Wotton. He added that the team had been excellent before the break but that momentum swung against them, leaving them "timid, passive and non‑committal with the ball". Wotton admitted that his substitutions may have come too early and that he would analyse the match to improve.
The Harriers are unbeaten at home and have played two home games this season. Wotton said, "It should have been six points, but it’s not. We take the point and move on." He also noted that the team must learn from the chaotic scenes and that "what’s done is done, and all you can do is learn from it and move on."
Looking ahead, the Harriers travel to Southend United on Friday night before hosting Barrow at Aggborough on Bank Holiday Monday at 3 pm. The 1‑1 result leaves the Harriers with a point to take into their next fixtures.
