Aldershot Town's Basil Tuma has been included in a preliminary squad for Malta's forthcoming international games. The young player, who moved to Aldershot from Reading recently, is preparing for a demanding period with his national side.
Malta is scheduled to participate in several UEFA Nations League contests and an exhibition match during the coming weeks. Their initial fixture is a Nations League encounter with Andorra. Following that, they will meet Liechtenstein in a friendly, before facing Gibraltar and then Andorra again in the Nations League.
Tuma, who is originally from Uganda, first played for Malta's senior team last year. Prior to signing with Aldershot, he was on loan at Slough Town. This international recognition arrives while Aldershot Town holds a mid-table position in their league. Supporters can find the team's upcoming match list and player roster on the club's official pages.
"It's an honor to be called up," Tuma stated. His inclusion offers encouraging news for the club after a recent loss.
