Aldershot Town's six-game unbeaten run in the National League is over after a 1-0 defeat away to Barrow. Rekeem Harper's 64th-minute strike at Holker Street on Saturday proved the difference, leaving the Shots eighth in the table with 15 points from nine games.
Manager Scott Davies said he felt "hugely frustrated" by the result. "It's a really difficult one to sum up," he told reporters after the final whistle.
The loss snaps a positive sequence that had seen Aldershot collect two wins and a draw in their last three league outings, including a 2-1 victory at Solihull Moors. The team's recent form now reads two wins, one draw, and two losses from their last five matches across all competitions. You can review the full sequence of results on our fixtures page.
Harper's goal, assisted by Dean Amos, was enough to settle a tight contest. Aldershot had gone into the match on the back of a 1-1 home draw with Yeovil Town, where Myles Efete had found the net.
Despite the setback, Davies's side remain firmly in the top-half mix, just eight points behind leaders Boreham Wood. They have scored 10 goals and conceded seven so far this season. The immediate focus shifts to a home game against 21st-placed Tamworth next Saturday. A full look at the league standings is available on our standings page.
