Michee Efete scored Aldershot Town's equaliser against his former club Yeovil Town in a 1-1 National League draw. The Shots fought back after playing against 10 men for over an hour at the EBB Stadium.
Yeovil took the lead in the 15th minute through Slavi Spasov's first goal for the club. The game turned just after the half-hour mark when Loick Ayina, making his first start in five weeks, was shown a straight red card. Aldershot pressed their advantage and Efete finally levelled the score in the second half, pouncing on a scramble inside the Yeovil penalty area.
Yeovil manager Billy Rowley felt his side should have had a penalty in the second half. "It's bitterly disappointing," Rowley said. He added, "I've just said to the players in there, we've got a lot of games of football this year, and sometimes you draw a game and it feels like you won."
The point extends Aldershot's recent form to one win, one draw and three defeats from their last five matches. They will look to build on this result when they host Tamworth, who are 11th, in their next league fixture.
