Aldershot Town's plans for a stadium shake-up have halted the sale of some season tickets, just weeks after their FA Trophy win. The Shots have announced plans to rearrange the EBB stadium's stands, with changes to where home and away fans are seated during home games. Proposed changes will see all current areas of the EBB Stadium which were designated to away supporters, becoming designated to home supporters. The away stands in question are the south side of the East Bank, the uncovered Away Terrace and the East side of the South Stand seating. A spokesperson for The Shots said: 'Anyone looking to renew their season ticket in the Slab or the west side of the South Stand seating, may be subject to having their ticket relocated upon the approval of these plans.' The announcement of the proposed changes comes less than a fortnight after the club bagged the FA Trophy for the first time at Wembley, beating sixth-tier Spennymoor 3-0. The plans are currently subject to the approval from health and safety stakeholders. The current setup of away fans entering via Redan Hill utilises significantly more stewarding than would be needed under the new proposal and therefore will save the Club money. The spokesperson added: 'The Club already faces a high stewarding bill and with costs increasing further, we have had to look at all possible ways of reducing expenditure.' Aldershot Town had a relatively mediocre 24/25 season in the National League, finishing 16th, one place behind Surrey rivals Woking FC. The club's fans are still likely on a high from their FA Trophy final win. The EBB Stadium has a capacity of 7,100, with 2,000 of these being seated. Current total away allocation is 1,100; of which around 250 are seated. The west side of the South Stand seating will then become the seating area for away supporters with the Slab stand also becoming the away terrace. This will also apply to segregated games and, representatives of the club have said further details will be communicated once plans are approved.
