Aldershot Town have signed midfielder Conor Lawless and defender Tyrese Dyce from National League South sides Dagenham & Redbridge and Slough Town respectively. Lawless, 24, has spent the past three seasons with the Daggers, who finished 13th last season. Scott Davies, the Shots boss, told the club website that Conor is different to what we have in midfield and his addition will provide good competition in the middle of the pitch. Dyce, 25, has previously played in non-league for Spennymoor Town and Maidenhead United. Davies added that in terms of him as a player, for me there's no better defender in one-vs-one situations. Aldershot, who finished 20th in the National League last season, have not disclosed the length of either deal. The signings are a boost to the squad as they prepare for the new season. Lawless and Dyce will be looking to make an impact and help the team improve on their finish last season. The club will be hoping that the new signings can help them push up the table and challenge for a playoff spot. With the addition of Lawless and Dyce, Aldershot Town's squad is starting to take shape. The team will be looking to gel quickly and get off to a strong start in the new season. The fans will be eager to see the new signings in action and will be hoping for a successful season.
