Aldershot Town have signed striker Anisius Lewis from Braintree Town. The 22-year-old forward joins to add a physical presence to the Shots' frontline.
Manager Scott Davies welcomed the move, which was completed on Friday. He highlighted the player's attributes as something new for the squad.
"Anisius is someone that we really liked when we played against Braintree in pre-season so for us to secure his signature is a massive positive," Davies said. "At 6ft 3in, he brings something different to our front line which we have been missing for physical presence."
The transfer fee was not disclosed. Lewis arrives as Aldershot sit seventh in the National League table with 18 points from 11 games. Their recent form has been mixed, with two wins, a draw, and two losses in their last five outings.
He could make his debut in the club's next match, a home fixture against Carlisle United on Saturday.
Davies expressed confidence that the young striker will make an impression. "He's young and willing to learn and I'm sure the Shots fans will enjoy watching him," the manager added.
